Just like the ending of last season…
The new season began the same way last season ended. With a victory. Olympiacos took some time to reach a safety net and thus secure an easy victory against PAOK 89-64.
A victory at the premiere
A premiere always hides traps, but Olympiacos managed to overcome them and begin this season’s Euroleague in the best way possible.
CHAMPIONS…
This championship could not be lost and the name of Olympiacos was in scripted early on the valuable trophy. The “reds” came back to the top of the Greek Championship edging Panathinaikos in the fifth final 82-76, bringing joy to millions of their fans all over the world.
One victory away from the Championship
He played as the European Champion should have, played with a legendary passion, played with a heart and made 2-1. Olympiacos edged Panathinaikos 84-72 and is now one victory away from winning the Greek League.
The first step towards the title…
It is said that the first game of the play-offs finals is the most important for the team with the home court advantage. Olympiacos surpassed that first obstacle and is now two victories away from becoming the champion.
Played just enough to advance
In the first quarterfinal against PAOK victory came easily. In the second one in Pilea, things were not as good, but the result remained the same. Olympiacos won 68-61 and got the ticket to the play-offs semifinals.
An easy and simple 1-0
From the beginning of the game, Olympiacos imposed its rhythm and never let any margin to PAOK. The “reds” led 14-0 at 3’14’’ and completed an easy … stroll till the end.
First...
The “reds” did what they had to against Ilysiakos and sealed the first place of the League’s Regular season with 25 victories and just one defeat. Olympiacos edged the “yellow-blacks” 83-57 securing the home court advantage till the end of the play-offs beginning with the games against PAOK.
One more victory…
With Kostas Papanikolaou playing his best game with Olympiacos shirt, the “reds” had no problem reaching an easy 24th victory in the regular season and are now one step away from the first place.
One step away from Istanbul
Olympiacos did its part and with the awesome support of 12,000 fans reached an easy victory 75-55.
Two steps away from the first place
Olympiacos beat Panionio as well (73-64) and is now only two steps away from the first place at the end of the Regular season of the League.

Ready for the final…
Olympiacos had no problem edging Ikaros Kallithea 100-63 proving to be absolutely ready for the Cup Final against Panathinaikos.
A victory in Drama
The goal for the games when Olympiacos is the absolute favorite to win and the opponent plays without any pressure is to be solid and serious and in Drama the “reds” showed both elements reaching an easy victory 73 – 55.
Just a walk at the end…
Olympiacos accelerated in the second half and reached an easy 18th victory that maintains him alone at the top of the League ranking.
Frozen in Moscow
Olympiacos would not have gained much by winning in Moscow, since the … final is on Thursday (1/3) against Galatasaray in the Peace and Friendship Stadium. However, the 96-64 defeat was definitely outside the “red” plans.
Once again to the Final…
The Olympiacos players knew that they were the absolute favorites against a weakened PAOK, but they also knew they had to show that on the floor from the beginning of the game, which is exactly what they did.
First step made…
After the victory at the derby, Olympiacos needed seven wins to finish at the top of the League’s Regular season. Now, it only takes six because the team went through the toughest home court unharmed.
A victory for the top…
Olympiacos was the big winner of the derby against Panathinaikos (78-77) and now has the advantage for winning the top ranking spot in the Regular season of the League. The top spot that is also accompanied by the absolute home court advantage till the end of the play-offs.
Great victory in Istanbul
Olympiacos fulfilled his duty in Istanbul and now holds his fate in his own hands. On the anniversary of the gate 7 tragedy, the “reds” playing with a black ribbon on their shirts have joy to all the Olympiacos fans.
